SO the 2010 BET Hip-Hop Awards were broadcast last night and while we’re on the trawl for some more details about what went down, let’s start with the highlight of the ceremonies…
The CYPHERS and then we’ll see where we get to ok…
Exhibit E: The 2010 BET Hip-Hop Awards Cypher with Mickey Factz, Reek Da Villian & Zawcain
ANd now lets get on to the audiences, the noteworthy ones if I can say that… Apparently Diddy & Rick Ross brought MC Hammer on stage for a performance of ‘Too Legit to Quit’? Check it out init!
… & you thought I was lieing right? Well J.Cole also took the stage to perform ‘Who Dat’ & ‘Blow Up’ which you can check out below!
Big Boi & Yelawolf performed ‘You Ain’t No DJ‘, B.o.B did his thing on ‘Don’t Let Me Fall‘ and there was the Dipset reunion as well, that’s here! While I’m here, I might as well add that Gucci Mane, Soulja Boy, Wacka Flocka and that supposed ‘bedroom intruder’ youtube sensation with the red bandana (Antoine Dodson is his name) all performed as well but who cares?
And as for who won what? Well…
MVP of the Year – Drake
Hustler of the Year – Diddy
Jay-Z had three nominations in this category alone!
Rookie of the Year – Nicki Minaj
Made-You-Look Style Award – Nicki Minaj
Perfect Combo Award – Jay-Z and Alicia Keys for “Empire State of Mind”
DJ Khaled shoulda won this one with the ‘All I Do is Win’ remix. That record was crazy for the number of artists he got on there!
Track of the Year – Lex Luger – Rick Ross’ “B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast)”
Best Live Performer – Jay-Z
People’s Champ Award – Nicki Minaj, “Your Love”
I Am Hip-Hop Award – Salt-N-Pepa
And we’re gonna smooth it out with some pictures from the ceremonies…
Glad to see Ms. Rowland can take out time out of her rather busy life in the UK to show some love at the BET Awards in Atlanta, now if she would only just stay there already! Let the UK miss you a bit Kelly but I understand, everybody’s gotta eat I guess right?
Until the next time ladies & gentlemen, that was the 2010 BET Hip-Hop Awards…
